Dr. Félix E. Roque is a physician and military officer whose distinguished career combines a deep commitment to his country with a lifelong dedication to relieving human suffering. Born in Las Villas, Cuba, on November 20, 1956, he emigrated to the United States, where he has devoted more than three decades to medicine and military service, achieving the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps (USAR).

Dr. Roque began his education at the New York Military Academy, where he developed his sense of duty and leadership. He went on to attend Norwich University in Vermont, earning dual degrees in Biology and Spanish. His passion for medicine led him to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree at Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic.
He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at Saint Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York, followed by a Residency in Anesthesiology and a Fellowship in Pain Management at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading medical institutions.
Dr. Roque began his military service in 1976, completing both Basic and Advanced Individual Training as a medical specialist. Over a span of 34 years, he has served in key leadership and clinical roles — from Platoon Sergeant to Hospital Commander— demonstrating unwavering dedication to the health and welfare of soldiers and communities in need.
